US Central Command Launches "Iron Gate" to Block Iran's Land Arms Routes
The US Central Command has established a specialized task force to tighten oversight on the flow of weapons and illicit funds to Tehran.
The US Central Command has announced the formation of a new task force, dubbed "Iron Gate," aimed at countering the transfer of advanced weaponry to Iran via land routes.
Based in Florida, the unit consists of approximately twenty military and civilian personnel tasked with preventing the proliferation of dual-use technologies and illicit financial flows.
Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of the US Central Command, stated that this initiative reinforces the existing maritime blockade on Tehran, further restricting its ability to fund military operations.
These measures are designed to limit Iran's capacity to replenish its military arsenal, complementing the ongoing strict enforcement actions taken against vessels operating in Iranian ports.
