Evergreen Shipping Line Resumes Transit Through Suez Canal
Evergreen shipping line has resumed its transit through the Suez Canal after a three-year hiatus, signaling a recovery in global maritime trade routes.
The Suez Canal Authority announced that the global shipping line Evergreen has resumed its voyages through the canal, ending a three-year suspension that began during the Red Sea crisis.
Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, confirmed the transit of the company's first mega-container ship, the "Ever Aeon," which passed through as part of the northern convoy heading toward Singapore.
The "Ever Aeon" is a massive vessel measuring 369 meters in length with a cargo capacity of approximately 185,000 tons.
The Chairman noted that the return of this shipping line serves as a positive indicator of global trade returning to sustainable routes.
He further explained that the canal has successfully restored major shipping services connecting the East and the West, reinforcing its vital role in international maritime transport.
