US Central Command Disables Vessel Attempting to Breach Iran Maritime Blockade

El Fadaly News Desk ·

US Central Command disabled a commercial vessel in the Gulf of Oman after it ignored warnings regarding the maritime blockade on Iran.

The US Central Command announced that it disabled a commercial vessel flying the Saint Kitts flag in the Gulf of Oman after the ship attempted to breach the maritime blockade imposed on Iran.

According to the command, the vessel ignored repeated warnings while attempting to depart regional waters following a visit to an Iranian port.

A US military aircraft targeted the stern of the vessel with precision munitions, which resulted in the ship being disabled.

The US Central Command stated that it has redirected 147 vessels since last July and has also destroyed 10 oil tankers previously linked to the Iranian shadow network.

US forces continue to strictly enforce the maritime blockade in the region to ensure compliance with established regulations.
