Netanyahu Calls for National Unity Government to End Political Deadlock

El Fadaly News Desk ·

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for the formation of a national unity government, urging the National Camp and Zionist parties to join forces to overcome the current coalition crisis.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has officially called for the formation of a national unity government, aiming to resolve the political stalemate that followed the elections held last October.

Netanyahu urged the National Camp and Zionist parties to join the government, emphasizing that such a coalition is an urgent necessity at this time.

The Prime Minister warned against relying on the support of Islamic parties within the coalition, expressing his opposition to such an arrangement for the new government.

This initiative comes amid difficulties in forming a government, as Netanyahu's bloc currently holds 53 seats in the Knesset, falling short of the 61 seats required for a majority.

The Israeli opposition remains divided over the prospect of cooperating with Arab parties, leaving the future of the government formation process facing significant challenges.
