Humanitarian Tragedy: Rain Floods Displaced Persons' Tents in Gaza
Heavy rainfall has flooded hundreds of tents and shelters in the Gaza Strip, leaving displaced families in dire conditions without adequate protection.
Hundreds of tents and shelters for displaced persons in the Gaza Strip have been flooded due to the latest weather depression, exacerbating the suffering of families and children left without protection from the elements.
Field reports indicate significant damage to displacement sites, where rainwater has inundated the only shelters available to thousands of families, with no alternative housing options in sight.
Amid these harsh conditions, the Civil Defense has issued urgent appeals calling for the immediate opening of humanitarian corridors.
The appeals emphasize the critical need to facilitate the entry of new tents and mobile homes to provide basic shelter for displaced individuals facing the threat of homelessness during the ongoing storm.
