Mediation Between Tehran and Washington Halted Following US Elections
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced a pause in mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington, citing the impact of the US midterm election results.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that diplomatic mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington have been suspended, attributing the decision to the shock caused by the results of the US midterm elections.
Araghchi stated that creating the necessary environment to resume mediation will require time, urging all parties to remain patient while refraining from setting a specific timeline for the return of diplomatic activities.
Current international efforts are primarily focused on critical issues, including the Iranian nuclear program and the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump ruled out launching attacks on Iran at this time, linking his position to Tehran's willingness to sign a strong and stable agreement.
In parallel, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized Ankara's continued commitment to supporting peace, as the diplomatic situation remains pending further developments in the positions of both sides.
