22 People Rescued After Cargo Ship Fire in the Sea of Oman

El Fadaly News Desk ·

UAE Coast Guard units rescued 22 Arab nationals following a fire on a cargo ship in the Sea of Oman, amid a series of maritime incidents in the region.

The UAE National Guard announced the successful rescue of 22 individuals of Arab nationalities after a fire broke out on a cargo ship sailing in the Sea of Oman.

An official statement confirmed that the operation was carried out by the Coast Guard units, emphasizing that these efforts are part of a commitment to enhancing maritime security and safety in the region's waterways.

The incident occurs amidst heightened tensions in regional shipping lanes, following an announcement by the U.S. Central Command on Saturday regarding a disabled commercial vessel in the same area.

Separately, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard reported an explosion and fire involving two oil tankers, further complicating the current maritime situation.

Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the circumstances and causes behind these consecutive maritime incidents.
