Russia Reports Downing 411 Ukrainian Drones Amid Retaliatory Strikes on Infrastructure
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the interception of hundreds of Ukrainian drones, while Moscow launched precision strikes against energy facilities and bridges in Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted 411 Ukrainian drones overnight. The ministry stated that the drones were destroyed over several Russian regions, as well as over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The Ukrainian drone operation followed large-scale attacks targeting military and industrial sites deep within Russian territory.
In response, Russian forces launched a counter-offensive using high-precision weapons, targeting energy facilities and infrastructure in Kyiv and other Ukrainian regions.
Local officials in Ukraine confirmed that the Russian shelling caused damage to power stations and vital bridges within the capital, Kyiv.
The conflict continues to escalate as both sides engage in intensive exchanges of aerial attacks.
